I’m trying to be organized this year. Today, my first day back at work, I started using the Gmail task list to keep myself productive. I like it cause you can check off items as you go, so by the end of the day you can see several things checked off and it makes you feel productive. I made a detailed list of what I need to do to finish up my experiment, complete with tentative run schedule for the month of January. I also reworked my thesis outline and started making a list of jobs I’m going to apply to this month. My internet time-wasting was at a minimum (I’m writing this blog from home). As part of this new effort, I’m trying to keep my internet identity organized as well. More regular blog posting, replying to emails, commenting on blogs, posting photos, deleting old unused accounts, etc. Day one, check.
